DropBox, this may be goodbye

I’ve been a paying DropBox user for a few years and have regularly sung its praises and recommended it to others, I tried all the major cloud storage systems and always came back to the DropBox apps for performance and usability.

Last week I decided that I need to be able to edit documents on an iPad, as this is all I carry around with me these days, so I investigated an Office 365 subscription.  Bearing in mind that I pay $100 per year for 1Tb of DropBox storage, I went for an Office 365 subscription for $100 a year which included all of office (inc. latest version upgrade and full application download) plus 60 minutes of Skype calls a month and 1Tb of OneDrive storage each for up to 5 users, that’s great value compared to DropBox. Now I’m trying out OneDrive to see if I can live with its applications, which seems good so far.  Looks like DropBox will be depreciated at the next renewal unless they do something incredible…
